Yeah, we carry it as nitro drip and nitro spray. Primarily use the nitro spray if unable to get access or something else. I prefer the nitro drip better than the spray, I feel like I have a lot more control over BP than with the spray. Only ever used it for STEMI's, but reading some recent...
I may have been here only 6 months but I have yet to see any severe OD on anything. The only few I have seen have been on were "benign" OD out of a large addiction recovery facility in our PSA like sleep aids, and cough suppressants (for DMT high).
It sounds like from other crews and state that...
Are there any part time jobs open in the Metro Area of Minneapolis/St. Paul?
I've been looking around for a casual or part time position for about 7 months, had a few interviews but nothing is really showing up or following through.
You guys have any leads? Willing to go about an hour...
I "toured" three other medic schools before choosing on PERCOM. One was local, the another 3 hours away and the other a hybrid online course.
PERCOM had more emphasis on critical thinking and understanding what is happening in the body. All of the other schools didn't have near as much...
Recently graduated medic here.
The clinical program is amazing, possibly the best available. I'm being completely honest here. No complaints whatsoever with the teaching.
The administration of the program is awful. It's like they work 2 days a week and nobody knows what the hell they're...
Paramedic about to test registry in a month. Turned 19 a week ago.

You can do skills on the weekend, however I'd recommend you block them if you can and depending on where you are. You need to pass some testing clearances before you can start clinicals...
Yes I have. Both my hospital rotations and my EMS rotations.
Two tips.
#1 Have some sort of connection to the facility. Don't just ask to go to a random place because odds are they won't feel bad about denying you. The level II center I choose I had volunteered at before and in general had...

From a Facebook paramedic page today. Very interesting, and thought provoking.
Great. Education is amazing. Very in depth and detailed. My instructor is a former lawyer turned EMS junkie, so he has a great view on the medicolegal sides of EMS and medicine.
Lots of papers and lots of research. Which is what I like. :)
