As we continue to roll through 2011 we want to know: What would you like to see on EMTLife.com?

Is there something that you find that our site is lacking?

Is there a part of our site you really like that you want to make sure we keep?

Thanks in advance for all the feedback.

It would be nice to have a forum dedicated to "Critical Care Air & Surface Transport" separate from the ALS forum.

how about just an "adcanced providers" forum that is basically for people who no longer recognize ALS/BLS and just want to talk about medical concepts?

That would be great. It would be nice if it could be a place where we could discuss things that aren't set in stone... but rather concepts that require individuals to use their own discretion and medical knowledge to come to a conclusion.. kind of like the difference between an undergraduate textbook that says, "This is how it is" and a graduate textbook that says, "There are two theories behind this, one says a, the other B... here are the arguments"

Also, it would be a nice place for journal review.

A forum dedicated to California jobs, classes, and licensing issues? haha sorry couldn't resist.

A more serious note maybe forums for groups of individual states, probably to much to ask for each state. I think it would be good for discussing more local issues or types of things.

Nope, you had it right the first time. A California forum is really all we need.

Is there a way to implement a system to prohibit people from posting a topic in which the title contains at least 2 of the following words: "emt pay salary wage"? It would instead redirect them to the search page. :D

A sub education forum for MedicRobs anatomy and Vene's pathology threads or a large sticky for their review threads.

Also include jobs in that.

I think this would be a great idea. But you don't have to do it for individual states, you could break it up into zones. Like:::

Mid Atlantic - Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia
Mid West - Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Wisconsin
New England - Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont
North West - Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington
Rocky Mountains - Colorado, Utah, Wyoming
South West - Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico

Something like that maybe... :p

Maybe an area specifically dealing with volunteer providers stuff. Opportunities to volunteer in other countries, outfits recruiting volunteers here in the states things like that.

A sub-forum under EMS Humor possibly?

Kind of the Brown Sub-humor Forum.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. Just because we're not responding to each doesn't mean we aren't noticing them.

Please keep 'em coming.

What ever happened to the community council?

Over the past year the atmosphere of the forum changed dramatically. We took the survey results, discussed what was suggested, made changes to the rules and infraction system based on what was suggested from the membership and the leadership team, and over time the most of the concerning issues improved on their own. Action from a community council wasn't needed.

We are still very open to the idea of implementing such a council and may do so in the future. Right now we're trying to get an idea of what else our site can do for the EMS online community.
