Hey there, Im going to be taking my ambulance written test this week in CA and I heard it was pretty hard. Im wondering if anyone has advice or can tell me the main things I need to study?? Thanks!
 
please search this forum. The CA ADL has been the subject of WAY too many threads here on the forum.

agreed. do a search on here also do a quick search on google. if you find the right link on google then you are set

that link doesnt really apply to her OP asking about what is on the test and not asking for the DMV link on what she needs to do to get the certificate.

.......and yes i passed first try. its 30 questions long and you can only miss a max of 4.
 
Haha thanks for backing me up on that link. I was thinkin the same thing, but didnt wanna say anything to that guy lol.. yeah i have been taking the practice tests, i feel pretty ready! :)

hey it wouldnt let me send u a message back, but ya i found both of those today and studied a bunch, i feel super ready. im taking the test tomorrow :)
 
alright. literally the second link is the exact test. #1 on that website is #1 on the test.
 
regarding the DL 51 form, is an ambulance a paratransport vehicle or is that more like a medical transport bus?
 
i took the test, i thought it was useless... dmv is a pain in the back.. make sure they take your white form. first the gave me the yellow one, then no thats for commercial so they made me fill out a white one, then the lady said i dont need no stinking form, then they mail the white form to my house and i had to go again and the guy told me it was the yellow form then the lady only took the white one.. DMV IS HELL.. just saying.. basically 2 weeks and 4 trips to dmv amazing super fast line.. at least im done with them for a while. oh darn i got to get an H6 :sad:
 
WEll I passed!! :) Not sure what form you are talking about, i got a little yellow one saying i paid and its my temporary one until my certificate comes in the mail..
 
the DMV will keep you waiting the whole 180 days for the real one to come in the mail. im around day 90 and still nothing. now the fun part of trying to find a job in this market (insert sarcastic voice). good luck

ld44 the one they give u to fill out that u check ambulance certificate on. if u didnt fill one out u might get one in the mail. but then with my luck u might not :)

yup :/ and darn those extended scope for surrounding counties.
 
The only places that I have seen the require an extended scope is LA county.

and orange county.. i think thats new.. i go sunday to take the la county and maybe monday for oc.... does riverside have it?.. im in san bernardino county
