For what it's worth, I always carry my DL and one credit card (plus my service's ID when working) in a different pocket from the rest. I've never been robbed yet, but I've lived some places where it was pretty common. We've had instances of cell phones being stolen off rigs in my area, so I also hide mine if I need to leave it.
