I actually have used a LP-10 and a slightly newer LP-10C. That one had a pacer... However, I can also honestly claim to have used a LP-5.
Thankfully in all cases, I've never had to spark someone with one. I will say, however, that if you're doing a quick-look with the paddles so you can print a strip, patients can sometimes get a bit, shall we say, nervous?
