Hello all! I am new to EMTLife and actually new to the whole EMS world! I have just started my EMT Course today and have some questions regarding uniform...

First, I must say... I live in the middle of NOWHERE and will be ordering everything online...

Need to find good womans pants and boots.... I am size 2/4 pant and 6.5/7 shoe... So I'm thinking I may need to stay away from men's pant/boot as they will prob fit really frumpy?!?!

I am also required to purchase the following:

Stethoscope, BP Cuff, Penlight, Trauma Shears, Respirator n95.... I wasn't really directed on where to purchase ANYTHING or brands, as my instructor lives nearly 2 hours out of this tiny little town :) Any help or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!!

i got alot of the stuff i needed off of amazon good luck with your classes welcome to the fourms
****ies.com has good pants and boots but the pants dont come hymed (spelt wrong)

There are womens ****ies at walmart or on their website.

One of the female medics I work with loves her 5.11 pants

I'd throw my 2 cents in on Elbeco Ladies Choice EMS pants. More comfortable than my ****ies or my 5.11 pants. As boots go I've owned two different pairs of womens bates boots and both are extremely comfortable! As for the other stuff price shop and get it at the cheapest website you can find.

I have a few pairs of Women's 5.11 pants. They are awesome and well worth the money I spent on them.

I'd second the 5.11 pants, but someone has already done that....so I'll third it. ;)

Definitely recommend 5.11 pants, they are pretty comfortable and very durable. The only thing I ran into was I ordered the regular length and they were a little short for me but other than that I love them.

When I took my class, I started out with a prestige brand stethoscope (which I ordered from amazon) it was cheap but worked really well.

Thank you for all the info! Very helpful! Let the ordering begin! :)

This. 100% this. I just got mine recently and I friggin' love them. I bought the size 2s (I'm normally a 0 in womens, they've been known to run small) and they fit like a glove. And they make my butt look good, which never happens in EMS pants.... and I have 5.11 boots. Also amazing, can't get over how light they are...

5.11 tactical (google) has women's boots & women fit Ems pants. I'm a 4/5 & that's where I got mine. Their sizing chart is true to size!

Medisave.net is good for a stethoscope

Bp cuff penlight, shears etc check allheart.com or rescue-essentials.com

If all else fails google it!! :)

Guess we rocking in the same boat. I start my EMT-B program tomorrow. I bought all my supplies from amzon.
-prestige medical blood pressure cuff that came with a free prestige medical stethoscope(new for under $30). it also came with a carrying case where i can put the stethoscope, pen light, B/P cuff all in one case and carry it.
-CPR micro mask(new for $10 and includes a pair of gloves)
-BLS BOOK(new $22)
-the scissors and pen light shouldnt cost too much.
-I order all my products through Amazon, they are cheap. Word of adivce:by products from a store and not from private vendors. I never have a problem when i buy from the stores, but have witnessed family getting ripped off and going through unnecessary fustration when buying from private sellers....Gud luck.

I to will be taking a emt class for the first time

so tell me how did you do..did you pass..any word of wisdom for me..what books did you study from..please tell all
