Son sues ambulance company after parent dies

A son is suing Ryan Ambulance in Madison after his parent died due to injuries sustained while riding as an unrestrained non-patient passenger in an ambulance.

I'm not a big fan of non-patient passengers (though there are times when it's appropriate). Gotta make sure they're in seatbelts though...

All passengers, pt and non pt, wear seat belts. If they refuse to be safely secured, they can find another ride.

I have had non patient passengers un hook their seatbelt while we were in motion. I actually pulled over and told the lady riding up front that she either put her seatbelt back on or get out and walk. But that is not always an option (on the freeway for example).

But yea, the company is going to pay for him to live well for rest of his life
