ok I live in Texas I'm getting ready for school as an EMT. I have a class A misdemeanor for driving without a license and driving under restraint which means driving on a suspended license. This was in Colorado with my Colorado license. Will this effect me getting hired as an EMT in Texas?

you need to get it expunged. What was your disposition? How old is it? First request a record from txdps. If it does not show up on this record you could be fine. I would still get it expunged. Yes you can get some sort of ems job but it may not be San Antoino fire. You need to do things to make your self more desirable as a candidate like volunteer for a fired department or become a cpr instructor. If you could volunteer for a 911 EMS service that's your best foot in the door.
