My instructor is pretty serious. Our EMT-I class started with 26 on the first day, and now, midway through 3rd quarter we are down to 11 or 12. That being said, her students' pass rate at National Registry is one of the highest in the state of Ga, at nearly 100%.

I have my first 3rd ride in a few hours with Douglas County FD. I'm nervous, but very excited. Any advice on how not to make a fool of myself?

Ah, I did not know that. Thats pretty strange. I wonder what state/jurisdiction allows EMT-Is the widest scope of practice.

But if EMTs in all those states have to pass the same test regarding protocol, wouldnt that imply that the various states' protocols will be the same?

Well I think most states go by NREMT protocol, so that should definitely narrow it down for you.

Congrats! I highly recommend that you use your time waiting for the next class to study the hell out of Anatomy and Medical Terminology. Truuuust me, you'll be glad you did.
