I am contemplating relocating to Florida. Possibly the Kissimmee/St. Cloud area. I know that Florida does not have reciprocity with any other state. But any information about EMS or EMS companies in that area would be of great help.
Thank You
Hey 46Young...how is it going? yeah it has been a while...been busy...and now working in 2 places and volunteering at a 3rd...and my little girl is 2 1/2 and can be adorable or a terror...lol... but I paced the EMS bug onto my wife, she starts her Basic class next week...
Yeah, it is a bit...
I have recently have relocated and now work for 2 companies in NJ. AtlantiCare in Atlantic City seems pretty good. Jersey City is the same as most EMS.
LOL. regardless of what we say or how we wish we are, we are "wackers" and "trauma junkies" to some degree. And a trauma junkie in NH is funny...not a lot of violent trauma or trauma over all...
But Rock was very good and big on education.
Most Medic schools won't take anyone without at least 6 months field experience.
Please explain to me why you disagree. Why do you think it is a good idea to go to medic school with NO field experience?
If you are eastern, try Patriot in Lawrence. 1 of my old partners got his 911 BLS experience. 1 of the best and most knowledge partners I have ever had.
Congrats.
Don't start medic school right away. Enjoy the excitement and challenges of being a Basic first.
As Bruce Willis said in Die Hard "Welcome To The Party, Pal."
Welcome to the world of EMS, display your card with pride.
M1ke10191,
Have you ever worn or been fitted for an N95 respirator?
If not, see if you can get a hold of 1 from someone and see if you facial hair fits under the mask or if it causes a problem with the seal.
If you have, then again make sure your facial hair fits under the mask or if it...
