Working Americare while in EMT-B class

Hey all, I'm new to the forums; hope this has not been harped on. I am in my 4th week of EMT-B class. I was recently given the opportunity to work as a first responder/driver for Americare in Florida (Tampa Bay area). I have not taken the job as of yet, what is the general consensus of doing this while being in school; help or hinder? Thoughts about the company are welcome.

Take the job if you need it. EMT school is not that difficult and learning where things are is valuable for being an EMT.
