This thread is making me rethink the fact that I haven't applied to SCEMS yet... Maybe when I finish my CCP/FP-C class I'll try it

Sorry, I wasn't specific. There is a private BLS ambulance service that responds to 911 calls. St Francis Hospital has the BLS ambulance contact for Wilmington. The ONLY 911 ALS is provided by medics that are employed by one of the three counties. There are some other privates that do IFT at both the BLS and CCT level, with nurses and/or RTs.
 
Dover also has a private BLS company, but that's in Kent County. n7lxi, do you work near Selbyville, by any chance? I have a friend in that department.
 
You're right. Dover has a BLS service as well. I always forget about those guys.

And I occasionally work near Selbyville. Medic 105 covers that district.
