STAR Flight nurse Kristin McLain dies in greenbelt fall from helicopter

Wow, terrible. RIP.
 
Her partner is a flight medic and TEMS medic who left my agency to work for STARFlight a few months back.

I can't imagine what he's going through right now.

Such a sad event, my heart goes out to her family, friends and coworkers. STARFlight hadn't had a single LODD until this and has a great safety-oriented culture. Goes to show how truly dangerous the job is no matter what steps are taken,

Just trying to pound the fact that rigging should always be double checked and if possible buddy checked. Sorry if I came off as insensitive.
