Hello EMT family,
I have applied to a local hospital in my community as an EMT-B. Since I have little experience, the EMS Supervisor suggested I start off as a volly and complete 100 hours or 6 months, whichever comes first. Upon satisfactorily doing so, I will be transferred to paid. My questions are is 100 hours a standard here in NY or nationwide for completing volly hours and secondly, will the volly shift possibly be flexible?
Thanks in advance everyone,
~ Lucy
