Not New Years Eve, but a 36 hour shift starting 0600 New Years Day. I could have worked a 24 starting this morning, but on top of the 36 I would have been on too many hours consecutively. I would have liked to work the madness tonight though
My first twelve today (six-eighteen) is on call. Already had one trauma arrest just recently... hoping its not a sign of what my duty shift coming up will be like.
Its now 10am New Years Day here. I worked from 11am on the 31st -about 12:30am this Morning.
Last job of the night was a '15 year old F cardiac arrest' turns out she was just drunk on the sidewalk <_< then proceeded to not cooperate and pretend to be more drunk than she was for attention. Abused my partner when he told her to stop acting like a 3 year old. At hospital she abused the nurse and wouldnt talk to her. She then fled hospital and gave us the finger as we were driving back to station and passed her while the 10.9.8.7.6..... countdown was on the radio.
Had two mutual aid calls to a neighboring county so far. One for a stroke and a second for chest pains that turned out to be two calls in one. Let the ALS handle the chest pains and took care of two refusals from an assault.
