So I joined the forum in January and have been off for a while debating a new career in Emergency Medicine. Life has been nutty and blahh, blahh, blahh....
Since last on I have interviewed twice for a local FD/Ambulance Company and been accepted into their EMS program and hopefully start training next month. I started processing in the Air National Guard in 2012 and am all accepted and ready to swear in next week as an Aerospace Medical Tech. BUT, still, how do I know I can handle the gore, guts and trauma I will most certainly encounter with no prior experience of training other than CPR/First Aid/AED? Is there anywhere on Long Island or NYC that will allow a ride along or two or three?
