Hi everyone. I've seen this site mentioned on a couple of different sites, and thought I would come and check it out. It seems like a pretty cool site.

I'm an EMT-B for a private ambulance company in Michigan, and currently a medic student. So needless to say, I don't get alot of down time. But this seems like a good place to come and relax, and hopefully make new friends who understand EMS life! Anyway - Hello!!

YEA....I GET TO BE FIRST.....

WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you could join us. These guys here are the BEST!!! (Even YOU JON :P B) )

So were from in Michigan?? I am from there originally. To FREAKIN cold in the winters. But with another TS headed for the gulf, I am thinking the Northern States aren't so bad after all.

Welcome to our own little corner of dysfunction.

What part of Michigan are you from? I know we have at least one member here who works for a private ambulance company in Michigan, also. ;)

Thank you everyonr for the warm welcome :) I am from Sterling Heights, a Northern Detroit Suburb...

Thats funny you mention the weather, EMTprincess, cuz last year I wanted to move south...But after the hurricans,eh..I ll pass...

It's funny you said that because it was after the hurricanes that are population started to boom. The prices of the homes in area where the first storm (Charley) hit have nearly doubled. :o

Same situation here. My sister had a house built as a rental property 3 years ago. Then, it was $75,000 at closing. Six months later the house across the street from that one sold for $100000. Today, they are selling for $180000. REEEEEEDICOULOUS....thats what those prices are.

Sterling Heights, eh? I once dated a guy from there. He was living in Lansing at the time.

But..MMMM...MMMM...MMMM...those Michigan men sure don't compare to these Florida Men ...(isn't that right Chimpie :D )

:D :D :D Welcome! :D :D :D

I hope you like it here Smiley, but you got Princess started... :P

But you're right about the Florida Firemen....yummy. Our Fire Dept actually puts out a calendar every year with our guys on it.

And our housing market has tripled. Sucks for me trying to buy a house, but it's great on the other end as an agent selling those suckers. If it keeps up, I just might be able to buy a house before we move.

Don't think we know each other.........just saw that you are with Universal and wondered how ya liked it. So far so good with Superior; just waiting on my nremt-b results.

Superior ambulance? Haha. We have them in Rockford. One of the guys I know works with Lifeline ambulance and they dont care much for superior. Heck, the call them inferior. But I know nothing about them so I have no opinion. =D

Superior as in a company or an actual ambulance?

I'm going to Alberta, Canada this weekend to get a superior caddy hearse/ambulance. Aren't the best quality ambulances, S&S is better, but it's something fix-able that will sell nicely.

Superior medical education, they offer EMT, EMTP, etc.

Universal is a private ambulance company that does Sterling Heights (a city..), the local Casinos I think and a couple of other places.
