So, not at all EMS related, but I thought y'all might like to meet my new puppy, Sami.

Cute little guy! Is he from a pet store, or did you adopt him from a shelter?

We adopted her from the Human Society. They think she's about 3 months old and some sort of German Shepher/Gordon Setter mix.

That's awesome! Is Sami a boy or girl? Do you have any other dogs?

I grew up with no true pets. I had some fish at a point, they died, a frog, which we sold back to the pet store after a week, and two guinea pigs which we put to sleep.

After I graduated high school we got a yellow lab puppy, and I finally understood how great it was to have a real pet. I still can't believe what some people do for their pets, but there times when I really missed my dog. My mother is now officially one of those dog people, who walks the dog four times a day, sends him to doggy daycare, and probably throws the ball with him 10 times a day. Dogs are great pets. Have fun!

Sami is a girl.

And, the more we think about it, we think she's a Gordon Setter mix. We just have no clue where the brindling (striping) on her legs comes from.

Yeah, we have 4 cats and a 14 year old German shepherd/husky mix at my mom's house and a 5 year old chocolate lab at my dad's. Sami is the first puppy I've ever had; we got both of the other dogs when they were around 2 years.

Congrats on the new addition.

actually if you want my opinion....

she def has rottie in her....facial features, the markings and coat...I def see setter in her but id put money on the rottie

regardless shes a cute lil thing and I am SO for shelter adoptions!!!!

Might as well make this a thread about our pets, so here are some pics of mine:

Misha

Norahc

Both

Beautiful dogs. Are the rottie/german shepherd mixes? Well, rottie mixes at least.

Norahc is probably an American Rottie,

Misha is probably a Doberman/Huskie Mix.

I don't know for sure, since they're both shelter dogs I picked up when working as an Animal Control Officer. (Damn shelter wouldn't even give me a deal on the adoption costs either )

Cute pup Tcert, congrats, good luck and have fun.
Here are a few of our newest addition.....an age progression. Sasha is now 6 1/2 months old and 80 pounds.
