hi all, im a recently employed emt-b for a county service. It has been a blessing for me. Every time an ambulance would go by, i would literally fantasize about how i wish that was me on there doing the job, so with alot of prayer my dream came true!!! anyway, i digress. My department told me to go to the store baysingers here in wichita to go and get my uniforms. They are going to buy me 2 ems pants, 2 duty shirts, and they are buying me boots(with a certain price cap, i can pay the difference for more expensive boots). Im pretty sure that the department wants me to buy Elbeco clothes, but the boots are up to me. Are Elbeco pants and shirts pretty good? and what is a good pair of boots to go with them?

Search "boots". You will find what you seek, grasshopper.

The service probably has a standard design and colors Elbeco uniform shirts and pants selected-- you simply go to the store to be sized, get patches and pick it up-- there's little selection going on your end-- aside, perhaps, for whether you want short sleeve or long-sleeve shirts. Generally Elbeco is good stuff-- generally synthetic materials, but durable.

For boots, I went to a local military surplus store. They usually have nice, comfortable cool looking boots, for a very cheap price.

I would never buy military surplus boots, I need something comfortable, easy to slip on and off, something with a zipper on the side

My uniforms are Elbeco's, they seem plenty heavy enough to be durable. That said they must be the scratchiest and startchiest pair of pants I've ever worn. Anyone have any ideas how to make them more comfortable besides fabric softener and lots of washing?

Wash them and then dry them with a pair of tennis shoes in the dryer on the low heat setting. A couple of times through and they will be great.

Light bar for your private vehicle. Trauma shears with ankle holster. Large star of life decals for your own car.

a nice warm Job shirt by Game, for those nights when it's too cool for short sleeves and too warm for a jacket.
