Well, after much stress and waiting by the phone, Lifestar Ambulance called me for an interview!!!!

This is the service that I really wanted to work for all through my EMT class, and even before... I have a friend that worked there, and have met quite a few of their EMT's and Medics and everyone is just so likeable :)

I'm *VERY* excited... And a little nervous. Any advice would be excellent and appreciated :)

YAY :)

Hey April! I wish you good luck on your interview! I can't add much to Jenn's advice, she kept it short and sweet! They already know you'll be nervous a little, that's a given, any good interviewer knows that. Follow Jenn's advice, show up early, dress sharp, be yourself.....I'll add be honest. Your desire will shine thru. Please let us know how things go. I'm excited for you!

Take Donuts.

My partner loves donuts....

Bawahaha! Alex you're killin' me!

Good Luck with your interview. Be truthful. I have seen a lot of people over the years NOT get hired because they told a lie during their interview.

I wanted to thank everyone for their advice, which I followed with the exception of the doughnuts.... (Maybe if I had brought them in it wouldn't have taken them ten days to get back to me!)

I got the job!!!!

YAY!!!! Seriously though.... YAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!

Thanks everyone :)

YEA!!! If I could do a cartwheel and not seriously injure myself, resulting in people from the service I work for having to come pick my butt up off the ground, I would for you.

Really, Congrats. Best feeling in the world there.

Congrats!!! I'm waiting for my phone call, it's been a week today so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I thought I was all prepared, thought through on my answers for strongest and weakest point figured I had it nailed, then when they did it...they asked me for 2 of each. I felt like a goob after that.

Me attempting a cartwheel would result in a rival service coming to scrape me off the ground, they would, in turn, charge me for an ALS run because all of their cars have medics on board.

I'm babbling, but only because i'm giddy :) Being employed is a good thing.
Thanks :)

I was told by the girl who interviewed me that I could expect a call on March 23 (my interview was the thursday or friday before that) and she just called today... So basically... don't worry, your phone call is coming :)

Best of luck to ya... I hate the strongest and weakest point question... I'm just grateful I didn't have to give two of 'em... One interviewer at the other private service I applied to asked if I had road rage. (Honestly... I do have a mild version of it... I didn't want to lie, but I didn't want them picturing me running old ladies off the road either)...

I'm just glad that part is over with. Hope you get your call soon :)

April

LOL thanks :) , we all have road rage. As long as you don't pull the gun out or start ramming people you're good.
