While it is just one study, with only 240 patients, 1.5mg/kg IV lido seems to work better than 0.1mg/kg morphine.

It does seem to show that it would be worth comparing IV toradol to IV lido somewhere stateside, as apparently it won't happen in Iran:
Therefore, because in our country (Iran), intravenous nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are not available, we thought of an alternative intravenous drug, i.e. lidocaine, whose analgesic effects on various pains (postoperative, cancer and etc.) have been proven.
 
Uh, take person's pulse and EKG before and during?
