Moving to Houston in August. I'm a new EMT-B and have little to no experience. Do you guys have suggestions as to where I should apply too?
I've read some things about Galveston County EMS and was thinking of applying there.

Once I move down there however I plan on attending Houston Community College to get my degree in EMS and Fire Science.

I was just curious as to if you guys had any advice on where I should go and what I should do. The whole EMS world is new to me.

Guardian EMS does IFT and will most likely be hiring in August.

Full disclosure I'm their Clinical Coordinator.

If you are planning to go to paramedic, don't go to hcc. Trust me. Their fire school is excellent though.

The transport companies around here are pretty low rate and many have been busted by the fbi for fraud. If you want experience, join a volunteer fire department along with a transport.

I would suggest just joining hfd. You get paid for your training instead of the other way around

Acadian is a good company to work for especially for new emt and paramedic persons with no experience
