Hi,
I am a former EMT-P and I am trying to conjure up the word/code talk used to convey to the hospital that the patient was a regular/someone faking? I am working on a movie script and I really need to find this term. I know it may be a regional term. Any would do, as it may help me remember our terminology we used. Thank you so much! Keep your core strong or you may end up with a 5-level spinal fusion like me!

If it's somebody that I've transported a zillion times before or has been seen at the hospital a zillion times before… I may just say on the radio "this is a patient we're familiar with".

Pt is well known to your facility.

What we say to other EMS providers is "frequent flyer".

What I say to the hospitals "the patient is accustomed to your facility"

Thank you for the replies. So far I haven't been able to come up with the word. It was something that the patient would have no way of knowing we were talking about him/her or the situation. This is driving me nuts! Thanks again for your help.

a familiar patient
a regular
a known player
a usual suspect

Based on assessment, patient is recommended for triage
