Sheesh...all that and it can take only one critical? It says "twin stretchers" whatever that means, but where does it go? For that kind of effort you'd think there'd be more than one patient bay.

No need in the US.

Except for some coastal cities with population living on islands. The city of Portland Maine includes four islands of varying sizes within the city limits, all of which have year round residents and their own fire stations with medic units. Patients are transported to mainland hospitals on the city's fire boat which has the above "ambulance bay" when that is appropriate, especially when ferry service is significantly reduced in the winter.

Which works just fine.
No need for an ambulance boat.
That’s what this 70 foot fire boat spends much of it’s time doing, so a smaller ambulance boat would certainly make lots of sense. But we’ll defer to the sheriffs deputy from the other coast as the expert.

Ive seen a bunch of them around. If the bird can't go to an oil platform, we have an "ambulance boat" available. It gets messier when involving the coast guard or navy. Trying to get it in general service for a pair of busy marina areas with all the highly intelligent and capable seamanship displayed.
