Gift for nursing student

I have an ultrascope. The sound quality is fantastic.. My only gripe is that the earpieces aren't as comfy as the littmann ones. But the sound quality makes up for it and the ability to hear breath sounds through layers of clothing.

Depending on the school, most students receive a stethoscope during their first semester of clinicals. So that might be something to check so she doesn't end up with two. A NCLEX-RN study guide book like Mosbys or Saunders is a great gift since it will help get used to the style of testing in nursing school. Or nursing drug cards because writing out hundreds of drugs by hand takes foreverrrrrrr.

Writing out the cards helps you study them though...but that'd definitely save some time. I like the study book idea, that'd help tons. You said she isn't a coffee drinker, but does she drink tea? I know scrubs aren't the most exciting gift but can help out with her bills.

Oh a gift card to the scrub store down the road might be a good gift. I'm not sure if her program requires her to buy her scrubs from a specific location or not but I'll check.
 
A lot of places provide scrubs too.
 
I thought about that right after I posted. Definitely would be something to look into before dropping the bucks.
 
Don't know if they have these anymore but if there's a small shop near her that does WASHING AND FOLDING, get her a gift certificte. This way she doesn't have to go through the dread of her day's work twice!
 
FYI - decided to get the BFF a set of nice wine glasses and a stopper. We both enjoy the vino and she didn't have any real glasses at her new place yet. Also had to get the pup a good toy. She's probably just finishing the NCLEX as we speak. So proud of her!

Been using one for most of my EMS career and love it. I've got a Littmann Cardio III that just sits around because I much prefer the Ultrascope over it
