my final exam is coming up in about a month and a little nervous just wondering if anyone could say some advice? what will a lot of the questions be about? i know every test is different but just want to know what i should focus more studying on?
thanks everything helps

It all depends on how your instructor/instructors set up the test. My final was a pretty even mix of everything from laws up to OB.

CPR is always a big one. and know "normal" rates for adults/children/infants.

but as above stated it depends on instructors.

If they taught it in class, it's fair game for the test.

I have my final coming up in a month as well. It's a practical exam on the first day, and a written exam on the last day. Like it was said before, everything you've learned up to that point is fair game.

I'm not sure if you're studying off the same book as I am (Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured by AAOS) but if you are the book has a website that has lots of helpful tools and tests associated with every chapter. It's been a valuable study aid for me. If you're not using that specific book, perhaps your book has similar online features.

I'm having my final exam around the same time too. Our's is cover all of the Mods we did pretty much something from each chapter. I also use the same website as EMSDan I think it's really helpful. We got a review for all of our tests and exam on the 1st day. So you should probably study everything you learned. My instructor said every question we see on the exam is from one of the tests we had before.

I am also about a month out from NREMT and am taking the approach of study by repetition, be it practical scenarios or reviewing text material, being careful not to go over things so much that I forget them (yes, this is entirely possible).

ya i have been jst going to the my books wesite and doing their practice test on all the chapters but thanks guys

Study! Every chapter of the book. I made notecards for every chapter.
Know the steps of your assessment procedures and all practical stations cold.
Do that and you won't have a problem.

The best advice I got was "Know your stuff"

To get there, when you study or take practice tests make sure you know why you know the answer. Our educational system teaches people to remember the correct answers... well... in healthcare you need to be able to make decisions and that requires critical thinking. Critical thinking requires that you... "Know your stuff"

Good luck, you will be fine.

Know everything. The test is going to assess every aspect of what you have been taught. There will be more emphasis placed on certain subjects and less on others, but you need to know them all. Don't kill yourself over it, you just need to review and relax! Good luck!

P.S. There was much more OB than I expected on mine, so make sure you know that!
