Family-Friendliness

I might have been slightly involved in the events leading to that last rules post, and I'd like to know what the mods' view of family-friendliness is without more trial and error.

The post implies that EMS-related discussion that clearly isn't "family-friendly" (i.e. sexual assault, messy MVAs, your favorite trauma story) is tolerable, but no off-topic adult stuff.
Just browsing the forum, I've read a bit that isn't bedtime story material, but is appropriate for an EMS forum.

If I'm off-track, let me know, but I would like to have this clarified for newcomers and to avoid "It wasn't in the rules" drama.

Don't hurt me. :censored:

You're not off track. Please keep in mind that we do have some members under the age of 13, and anyone can view this site without having an account.

We do have people that visit this forum to seek answers about their medical issues, or about EMS in general. The image that we present as EMS professionals can and does have an impact on how our profession is treated.

Having to deal with sensitive subject matter is just a part of our job, but there is a way to do it without it becoming pornographic or obscene. All that we are asking you to do is to think about what you are going to post before you do so. Is it on topic and necessary to promote discussion about an EMS related subject? If it is, then so be it. If it's not, then don't post it.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the Community Leaders.

That information is based upon the number of users who must complete the COPPA registration process. As to their actual birthdate, it's hard for us to tell.

Was awesome, he's no longer with us. But I agree about 42 being young. I'm 52 and still young!

Nice.

Although I really think that Bob Dylan asked the "the" question (of life, the universe, and everything) - "How Many Roads Must A Man Walk Down)... but that is just my personal idea.
