EMT recertification in Los Angeles, CA?

So I just took an EMT training course and passed it, now I am waiting to pass the NREMT. However, I wanted to know if I have to recertify in my state after a set amount of years of having been certified, like take the NREMT again or take a refresher course but most importantly, I wanted to know if I have to pass my skills again like trauma/medical assessment.

You have to renew every 2 years which entails a fee, 24 hours of CE (or refresher) and proof of skills demonstration.
