I am currently an EMT-B in CT and i was thinking about going to EMT-I/AEMT before doing paramedic. I plan on going paramedic in a few years but i wanted some info on the EMT-I course. How long is the course? I googled it and couldnt find anything. Also, is it just a pharmacology course or do they go over basic EMT skills again?

Does CT have an EMT-I? I was looking to move there over the summer and when I called the state office they told me I would have to down grade to a EMT-B because they had B's and medics only.

darn. Stupid state office. I was really looking to move to New Haven over the summer but didnt want to drop down to a EMT-B, I wonder if its because Im an I-85 not a I-99 that they told me that. Who knows.

EMT-I get the same wages as basics here though
