I just got certified and started looking for jobs in my area. I saw an add for this service and was wondering of anyone who works or has worked there can give any info on what it's like. I plan to apply in the Pasadena, TX area. What are the stations like? Does anyone know what the starting pay rate is for Basics? Is there a lot of opportunities for overtime? Thanks for all the help.
 
Pay rate is low, call volume high. I'm in the area and have heard not one good thing about the Pasadena operation
 
With that being said, you've gotta start sonewhere, and it's better in my opinion to start in a 911 service than on the dialysis circuit.
 
There are a lot of good services in the Houston Area. As a paramedic Harris county ESD1, MCHD, and Pearland FD all have great protocals and are a good place to work. I dont know if they hire EMTS?
