there's a dosage calculator here Wingnut

it's 40 to 60 mg/kilo/day divided into 6 hr doses PO, not to exceed 200 mg/kilo < 6 year old. Be sure to check with other forms of medications at they may also have tylenol in them. Hope this helps.

Liquid or pills?

I always measure liquids, for myself by the swig.. and pills by however many fall out the first time I try to get some in my palm.

It should be on the bottle. Lots of child OD's are from parents giving the child adult medicine with adult doses. Many times it doesn't matter either way, but some meds have the ability to depress the respiratory system. Thereby causing arrest with the adult dose, such as you would see in many cough suppressants, allergy medicines and etc.

Yeah I know that's why I have a chart. Don't want my second code to be one of my kids...I don't think I could deal with that. Thanks for the info, and that calculator website, that's handy.

It ended up being a futile effort, I figured out her dosage and she threw it up almost immediately, then Grey woke up with another fever and did the same thing. It was a fun night.
