do you find yourself catching colds/throw up virus alot with working with sick patientS?
A few months ago, after auditing an infection control class, I stopped eating in the truck at work.I have gotten a lot more careful about how I clean my stretcher, bench, etc. and a lot more careful about how and how often I wash my hands.
If there's one thing I've been blessed with, it's a good immune system. I agree with the above, I generally get the sniffles more with stress, lack of sleep, etc, then with the job.
/me makes note that sitting in the back working on the laptop with the new hire driving back to base is not a good idea. Now motion sickness, that is a different story, 'specally since you catch that from the ambulance. (Or is it your partner?)
Only thing I've gotten that I can actually attribute to work, was the "flu" and I actually got it from one of the medics, not a patient.
