CA Laminating Medical Examiners Card? For CA Ambulance Cert

Might be a weird question, but I just had my physical done for my CA Ambulance Certificate. I have my green medical examiners card, and I don't like the idea of just placing it in my wallet the way it is, Its just gonna get torn up with a little time.

Is it ok to laminate while it is folded? Or Do I need to be able to show the back side with the DMV stamp on it?

Just wondering.

I did try to search the forum for medical examiner card info, but I didn't find anything pertaining to laminating it.
