I have a Barnes and Noble Nook (eBook) and want to download some books (in .epub and .pdf format) that will increase my medical knowledge. I'm looking for information on diseases, various ailments, medications, organ systems, special considerations/circumstances in emergency medicine and trauma management, etc, anything beyond the basics that would help me better understand the problems I face in my day-to-day as an EMT.

Now, I'm not looking to buy anything (I download from torrent sites and the like) which is why I put emphasis on .epub and .pdf formats, though if you think something may be relevant to this discussion, feel free to post it as it may be helpful to someone else. Also if anybody knows a good torrent site or direct download website with a wide array of medical texts, post it up! Thanks in advance.

I've got a Kindle and a Nook color and have had little luck finding any books like that. I did find a national Anethesiologists trauma book a while back on Demonoid that is very good. I'll look for the tracker for it.

It is pretty frustrating trying to find any good med books for my Nook Color as well. Was hoping to pick up some CCT books to lounge with while on shift, but haven't come across any yet

thanks for your replies guys. and jt, thanks for the link. almost done downloading. looking forward to reading it. :)
