Hi all, I am new, both to emtlife and ems in general. I've been working for about 5 months as a basic for a private ambulance company. Just failed the first semester of my 3 semester medic class, which means I cant continue the class of course. So now I'm workign full time as a basic and trying to figure things out. Anyway, love the website.

Welcome to EMTLife!

Where were you taking your medic course? I'd take some time off, get some experience, and try it again when you're able to dedicate 100% of yourself to the program.

I was taking it at a community college, and the program is sponsored by one of the larger ambulance companies in the area. And yes, getting some more experience in the field is my plan as of now. I've only been workign for about 6 months.

WELCOME! no question is ever stupid and hang in there!:)

Welcome to the site!!! Sorry to hear about your medic course, but I'm sure you will do great after you take some time off and gain some experiance. Your co-workers may be able to give you some tips. Also, an in-house program may be more helpful than the one at your community college if your employeer offers it. You may feel more comfortable working with people you know. BTW, again, I would like to say Welcome!!! :)
