I'm slightly worried about my ride-along tomorrow as part of my clinical rotations/patient contacts for my EMTB class. One guy said they were quizzing him heavily on everything ("What are all the types of shocks & S/S" Go!)

But my question here is:

What types of snacks should I bring? Should I bring enough for the whole shift starting that morning? Or just for the two guys I'll be riding with?

Krispy Kreme? Veggies? Cookie?

Any tips on the ride-along itself?

Nothing with bran or fibre.. nothing heavy. Nothing messy, and nothing that requires warming.

Pizza.

Dunno.....

Just don't go in and start spouting "what AMR Really stands for" - not a good way to make friends.

Bring some granola bars and water. Everything else can be obtained in a 7-11 or a vending machine

Just a thought - If you bring a dozen donuts in when you come in - it is a nice gesture, but the crews will probably be health freaks, and be offended that you brought "cop food" into their lair

I really can't help here.

I know at our station if someone is doing their clinical hrs if they bring in Krispy Kreme we love it here.

And welcome EMTStation600!

He's going for an EMS ride along, not a hike in the mountains. :P

Health food?! No one in EMS or anywhere else in medicine for that matter, likes health food!

Donuts, they'll love you.
