I have the skills test and interview in 1 week. I'm a little nervous because it's been 10 months since I finish school and I haven't practiced my skills since. Can anyone give me a rough idea of how the skills part goes for AMR Hemet? Has anyone gone through the process recently? Thank you for the help.

This. So going off the top of my head for NREMT I'd reckon that:

Assessments
Airway (BVM, OPA, NPA)
Oxygen tank, mask, cannula
Spinal immob
traction splint
bleeding control
and...

CPR and AED

If you're a medic I'd then look at the ALS stuff (duh)

ACLS, PALS, ECG, 12-lead and ALS Airway management

(Really nothing secret here, just basic skills we should all know at our respective skills levels)

Do they test you on both medical and trauma assessment or just one of them?

hemet does a trauma assessment with c spine. then they do a medical assessment, depending on the call, how your going to treat as a bls unit no als back up available. then opa npa and cpr. that should be it. then a panel interview.

Ok thank you. How hard are they on testing your skills? Similar to NREMT skills test?
