Yeah, same here. And often, they're not actually seizures. They're often either someone having the DTs or just pretending to have seizures so they can go to the hospital
Hmmmmmmmm....yeah, I automatically thought of head injury/concussion. This is very similar to how I presented after my ambulance wreck. Or so I've been told LOL I was pretty outta it, so I don't know for sure.
As an EMT-Basic, I primarily do the Dr appts, the dialysis runs, the takebacks from local hospitals to nursing homes or other residences, the BLS transfers from one hospital to another. :) But I also have the chance to work MVAs, seizures, psych patients, etc. Just depends on which crews are...
I could strangle the dude who looked at me tonight and said "I have a feeling we're going to have a bad wreck tonight." What is he, a freaking prophet? Cause lo and behold, we have to go work a bad wreck. Geez....

OW! Oh, there have been some doozies here. One lady "forgot" she was done with her period and had left 12 tampons rotting inside her. Or the one who had a Mason jar stuck inside her. Sh** happens!!!!:unsure::sad::ph34r:
The Basic class I went through required us to have 10 hrs total patient contact time, with a total of 5 patient contacts. I, however, probably got 500+hrs patient contact time cause I did MUCH more than the required 10 hrs. I wanted to be sure that I had a good idea of what all could go on in...
