What is the easiest method to learning BP?

When I work in a hospital setting, I put total trust into auto cuffs. No one uses manual cuffs in the hospital. But when Im riding in the back with a pt, i always use manual. The vibrations from the ride tend to offset an accurate reading. Granted, it can be difficult to hear the pulse at times...

Low call volume 911 vs Transport work

Just remember, if they were at a nursing home to begin with, they have their vitals taken routinely. At least they should. If they havent been broken by now you should be in the clear. And get as many vitals as possible. The elderly are great for perfecting the BP. If you can get their weak...

    Security Guards

I normally carry a leatherman, of which the blade is probably used the least. If I were to forget to leave it in the cab, I wouldn't have any problem with checking it with security as long as I could retrieve it on the way out. Just curious, many basics and medics carry some similar in this area.

    Off Duty emergency

I have spoken to some emt's that have had to deal with emergency scenarios while not on duty... while shopping or at the lake, and was wondering what some of you have encountered and how you used your skills to deal with the situation.
