Greeting everyone! o_O
I’m a 21 year old college student (Sophomore) studying to be a Paramedic. I am currently already a FF/EMT and my plan is to obtain my Bachelors of Science, as well as my Medic (obviously) and...
Note: I am aware that there already exists a thread dedicated to this topic (sorta). However, after posting this on several other forums and having yet to receive a response from either one I figured the best way to obtain this information would be to create a new topic Additionally, the similar...
Thanks for your help.
I'm looking for 4-5 years from now, since I will have to achieve my bachelors first as well as masters.
Is there a way to bypass the medic portion of the academy if your already a medic or is it through and through?
Is every firefighter a paramedic or EMT?
I...
Greetings and good morning!
Well, I'll be blunt. I plan on attending the University of Maryland Baltimore County where I hope to earn by Masters in EMS along with my NREMT-P, etc. My question is ...
If your already a paramedic, do you still have to go through the academy for Baltimore City...
I know there is a website group that does this kinda thing.
Doing a quick Google search I didn't find anything but I've seen their site and their work. Its quite impressive really. Also, if you ever go to Disney in Orlando, FL the Firehouse on main street sells all kinds of Fire & EMS...
Sounds like one of those stories you'd see in a documentary.

Thanks for that. Great information.
I'd like to go to Miam-Dade however being that NREMT-B or hopefully a few years from now NREMT-P isn't accepted there its kinda crappy for those who don't live or aren't licensed/certified out of FL.
My volunteer firehouse offers a mini gym on the second floor of the BRAND NEW station.
It really is quite impressivd however being that I have a free membership at the Y with a lot better and updated equipment, I choose there. Plus we have an indoor jr. olympic pool.
I say so because NJ is primarily volunteer and unless your looking for transport (I'm assuming your not) your S.O.L. Emergency 911 jobs in this state are very competitive due to the congestion and most agencies start per diem and hire within.
