Not in this day in age... Start looking at some other non-traditional EMT roles. Basically it has a little to do with a company's policies and more to do with you being "uninsurable." :( Maybe you can slip through the cracks, but not likely... Supply and demand; EMTs are low in demand...

Speaking of oxygenation and ventilation, isn't the newest research showing that we should be guiding our ventilatory rate by keeping the EtCO2 WNL and keeping SpO2 between 95-99%? Hyperventilation is out, and depending on the nature of the illness excessive O2 is actually harming patients...
