    Can I make $30k a yr as an EMT-b?

Will they pay for your paramedic training? The easiest way to make $30K is to move up the ladder. I never had to pay for a step increase. Everywhere I worked they paid for the next level of training. make sure when you consider the benefits see about stepping up the ladder. It maybe a year...

    AGE Question!

Get FF1 Man if I had to do it all over again I would get my fire fighter and get into some fire department. They have a larger union, decent benefits, and when you get older (50+) you would sure rather not be carrying Obese, psych patients down stairs. EMS is a great career and I still love...

    Teach me about trachs

An old Flight medic trick Here is what I'll add. When flying it was sometimes difficult to get the BVM attached to the trach, especially if the patient was hypoxic. One trick I used alot was using a 8 inch section of flex tube (used on vent circuits) with an adapter on it allowed me to...

    Stryker Powerload

I have seen these used I was just wondering about the weight of these cots and lift systems. Adding on additional weight going up and down stairs makes me think that we have to balance the benefits to the back injuries.
