It is Boxing Day here in New Zealand now..but we had a wonderful sunny 30oC(86oF) for Christmas Day...Not so good for cooking the roast dinner, but lovely all the same. I hope all the EMTlife members have a enjoyable, safe and happy Christmas and New Year. Cheers from your Kiwi...

I agree with you there Tigger....although prehaps I should have gone into a little more detail. I use to work at a Poultry Processing Factory which also used dangerous chemicals. They had an emergency response team on site, who were trained to kit up and retrieve patients to a safety point...

As I read down the page of this news article, it looks as if safety had not been adhered to as well as it could have been. I'm not sure why an FF and 3 Ambulance staff also had to be treated at this gas leak incident? Your thoughts...

I agree with you there. The reporter could have worded it alot better than they did. I'd be seriously worried if an ambulance crew did not question a dispatcher that tried to send them on a 700km (435 mile) callout..lol The response time would be terrible.:rofl:

lol..........and yet they still get it wrong!!! It does take a good two days and a ferry ride to travel the length of them. I would be interested to know a few of the errors made by other dispatchers? When I was on the ambulance, it was more the details of the patients that were...
