So Sacramento DMV has to review my driving history...

The DMV really takes a LONG time to get around to things. The main Sacramento DMV office is my local one. They literally pull out an old Brother typewriter to make the "Ambulance Drivers License." I have no idea why the state requires such a thing other than to add yet another unnecessary...

Narc storage. How are you doing it?

Our local policy is "biometric safe, or 2 locks." that's it. Someone mentioned putting a tamper proof tag on the narc case after it's restocked but people are complaining saying that they need to physically verify each and every vial at the start of each shift and they won't sign off if they...

Can you do it twice in a row? I think you should try and share the results with us. for science, y'know. while I'd love to have someone show up at the station with a brisket and say "See? I did it!" I know that's not likely. so pics will do.

Someone I know on a contract gig said that they got a decent raise. About a $13/hr raise. Sounds great! They were doing 48 hour shifts. *were.* Now they're doing 36 hour shifts instead, so no more overtime. Sad trombone? I haven't done the math and I don't know all of the details but that...

    Humoral EZ/IO and Lucas Devices

Our folks prefer the humoral site and we have not experienced any issues with using that site along with a Lucas. I have not heard of any complaints. If anything, there's literature hinting that the humoral site may be preferred anyway.

CQI with ImageTrend Elite - how??

replying to myself. I discovered Help/University in the "Community" tab, and I can now start there. I was digging all around the image trends website and not finding anything, I didn't think to look IN the app itself. duh.

CQI with ImageTrend Elite - how??

One of my jobs is at a small agency with a low call volume. We USED to paper print all PCRs and write a hand-written CQI form on each one, but due to storage requirements/etc we are now just using the CQI function built into image trend elite. Well, we're trying to. We don't manage the image...

It was a hard course but I enjoyed it a lot. Definitely would recommend. They were also able to help me navigate the peculiar requirements that (surprise surprise) only the state of California has regarding clinical hours and that was very much appreciated. The hospital (UF Shands) was...

I have successfully completed the UF CCP program, passed it, took the IBSC test and have joined the ranks of CCP-C. ... only to find that we really aren't sure how our CCT program is even going to go. Good ol' political red tape again. No matter what happens, I learned a lot from the experience.

    CCT Fly Car

This is something we're working on but there are some political hurdles in the way. The plan is to have a fly car with a CCP that can hop onto an ALS truck if a transfer comes out.

    CA Ambulance Drivers Certification Question

DMV literally pulls out a Brother typewriter to make your license. If you got cleared, I highly doubt that it's going to affect your drivers license. Now, your future employers, on the other hand... careful what you say. :)

    12 Lead EKG Electrode Placement
