The driving record can be an issue, but it depends on the company and what the reason behind the blemishes are. As far as a job, I would recommend IFT's or Tech. As an ER Tech you can keep your skills up, and make connections with the local EMS departments.

Hello all, I just moved to the Dallas area and was looking to try and get on with a service part-time. does anyone know of any service that would defiently be worth a look? Due to my work schedule during the week I am looking for a place that I may be able to work on the weekends.

I agree, have a white cloud is a major bummer, where ever I've worked I seem to never get anything major let alone exciting. It seems that I have to work extra hard sometimes to keep up my skills and feel confident that I will be as successful in the real situations.

I guess I never paid it much attention, NREMT doesn't do much here in Texas. I got certified in Septembers of 05 and it went to March 08 so it was just over the two year mark. Thanks for the foresight.

My NREMT was re-registered last week, really pleased about that, but it was only for two years, thought that was a little strange, expected it to be longer. Is two years the normal now?

I have to reregister with NR this coming May and I am not quite sure If have/or will meet all the requirements. Here is my situation, CE's- will be able to finish them. Refresher course- don't have yet, but looking for one in Texas or should be able to do it with CE's my problem...
