I'm curious...... what salary do you start at? I know you say competitive, but that can mean anything from 12 an hour to 22 an hour....

Also, where do you run 911 calls? do you have municipal contracts? or are you referring to nursing home 911 calls? How many 911 calls do your crews average in a 12 hour shift? how many IFTs?

Inquiring minds are curious

Sorry here is the additional information on calls. 24 hour dedicated ambulances handle the fire calls. They are backed up by the ambulances working 24, 12 or 9 hour shifts. If you're on a dedicated unit you only run fire calls. If you're on a nondedicated unit it's varies. The 24 hour nondedicated units are first up for fire department back up and run approximately 3 to 6 per shift. The shorter our cars can run anywhere from 2 to none.

Are any of these units in-house? Or are they in hotels/HQ etc.
We do not operate any "in house" units. They are based at company owned/leased stations, HQ and satellite facilities. But, no motels at all.

11.50 for 12 hr cars and minimum wage for 24s right?
Wow, minimum wage for 24s? and you guys consider that to be a competitive wage? I know i'm not from California, but how is that competitive, esp when your 12 hour cars are making a better wage?

Don't get me wrong, $11.50 an hour might be good for your area, but it would be a huge paycut for me (even when I did work FT as an EMT on an ambulance, it's almost a 20% paycut from what I was making).

But if I was in california, and needed a side gig, I would look into it
