connection issues

has anybody else been having connection issues with the board today? i cant get half the pages to load and am getting very well aquainted with this page:

is it just me?
 
I've been getting them sproadicly over the past few weeks. It has been coming back, so I havent worried... I emaied admin@emtlife.com, and got no response, only to realize it wasnt a valid email address. Is there an email addy where we should send these kinds of things when we dont have access to the board?
 
no prob here. been on 1/2 the day. might be your ISP.

Kev, I'll take a look but I don't think there's been any issues with the server (other than the chat one last night). When did your issue start?
 
when the server issue booted me from the chat room last night.

heres the issue:

i cant load a page on the first try. sometimes it takes me 6 or 7 trys. i either get the above message. writing this post has beeen a half hour process.

what i have done:

tried on aol, ie, and firefox. cleared the hx, cache, cookies. defragged, disk clean up, virus scan.

im at a loss. it also says(when i can get that far) that i dont have chat access.
 
Give me some time to investigate this, I'm not sure what's happening. I'll be traveling tomorrow, but I'll try to see what's up.
 
alright, add this to the case.

if i dont log in(i.e. browse as a guest) it flies. every page opens in no time flat on that first time. log in and its as above.

either your server doesnt like me or somebody is playing games.....

Have you tried clearing your cookies and temp files? I have heard of this before on another forum and I'll try to find how they fixed it.

well guys i dont know what to tell you. i made a new account, using the same computer that i was using before, and things are working just fine.

If it was a snake kev it would have bit me huh?

It might be a DB issue that just happened to target your account. =P
 
Kev,

I think I found the problem...when the system dropped you from chat the other day, it still showed as you were connected in the chat on the server. Try again and let me know if it works now.
