Wow, congratulations EMTLife, once again you have proven that great advice can't be given without someone acting like a complete jerk....

Um, sure 120 hours a week could be worse, or 200 hours a week. But 80 hours a week as a doc is pretty brutal. Especially since you don't do 12 hour shifts, but work a 30 hour shift every third or fourth day, then get half a day to sleep and come back to do a 11 hour shift the next day.

I was being facetious. I do not deny that 80 hours a week is brutal, and anything more is downright inhumane.

Oh, and Cory, do what makes you happy, but just make sure you know the long term consequences of that decision. There is no reason to commit yourself to a life and a job that you don't enjoy.
