Been lurking here for ages, figured it's time to start actually posting. I'm an EMT-B working outside of Seattle.

I was off during the worst of the flooding. One of the other shifts got to evacuate a nursing home, and most of the rescues, which we wouldn't be involved in anyways, since I'm with a private ambulance company and not a fire department, were further north.
