I am trying to find the schedule for something called the california schedule? I did try google and I tried searching on here without luck.

Any one know what is its actual name or schedule type?

Thanks
IM sorry for my dumb question

W repersenting a duty day, O repersenting off duty

WOWOWOOOO

It's a 24/48 variation

That's the same schedule we have. It's also been referred to as the modified Detroit. I much prefer it to a standard 24/48. I worked that over in Charleston SC. They were mandating us to hold over for an extra 12-24 hours, quite often, so it was like I was working a 36/36 or a 48/24. At least with my schedule, you get three four day breaks a month, and can be held for only 12 hours max.

Sounds like the lyrics from a bad doo-wop song.

California has MANY different schedules, none of which i have heard called a "California schedule" most are variations of the kelly schedule.

below are just some of the popular formats. i will list a department that uses it so that you can look up their calendar online.

ventura county fire
xoxoxooo

los angeles county fire
xoxooxoxoooo

long beach fire
xoxoxooooxoxoxoxoooooo

72-96 (riverside county fire, cal fire)
xxxoooo

48-96 (el segundo fire)
xxoooo
